UROMAC CLEAN DRIVE 4.0 Electric-Hybrid Track Vehicle

Uromac is introducing the innovative “Clean Drive 4.0” series of electric-hybrid draisines, designed to elevate safety and environmental conditions of track maintenance in tunnels and confined spaces.

This cutting-edge track maintenance car uses the electrical energy from the batteries to power the working drive with zero gas and particle emissions and reducing noise thus contributing to meet the EU 2030 climate targets in the railway sector.

Uromac has designed and custom-built this specialised track vehicle to enhance the efficiency and safety of track maintenance operations. It features a maintenance platform, a crane, rail brakes, and a pressurised air-conditioned cabin for up to six workers.

These machines have recently been deployed in the Madrid Metro system and mark the first time lithium-ion battery technology has been integrated into the metro system’s infrastructure and represent a major milestone in metro systems decarbonization.
