MEDWAY, the largest railway operator in Portugal, acquired from UROMAC a road-rail shunting machine model LACERTIS LOKO 14 for operations at the port of Aveiro.

The equipment has been operational since February 2019 and the main objective of its acquisition is to improve MEDWAY’s operational and productive capacity in the port of Aveiro. This objective was fully achieved.

The LOKO 14 model is a road-rail shunting machine for the movement of railway convoys of up to 1500 tons in a safe way thanks to the rotating driving position that allows driving in the direction of travel and improves visibility for the driver and personnel around the machine.

Equipped with remote control, it also allows carrying out the coupling manoeuvre safely.
